Babysitter code of conduct
Bali Krisna Service expects its nannies and babysitters to adhere to the following standards of care and service:
- When I agree to babysit for a customers child/children, I agree to be responsible for the child/children. I will follow the instructions the clients give me (i.e rules, eating, bath, bedtime, etc). If I am unsure about how to do something (i.e. give medication, put the child to bed), I will not hesitate to call the client.
- I will clean up/pick up after the children and myself making sure the house is in the same condition as when I arrived.
- I will be honest with the clients as to how the children behaved.
- I will be respectful toward the customer through all I say and do.
- I will not fall asleep whilst on duty.
- I will ask the client upon arrival if they would like me to answer the phone.
- I not only agree to be responsible but I agree to care and keep the child/children safe to the best of my abilities.
- When I agree to babysit for Bali Krisna Service you will work according to our ‘guidelines for babysitters’.
- I will show up to babysitting jobs promptly, at the specified date and time.
- I will never use physical punishment (i.e. grabbing, slapping, hitting, spanking etc.)
- I will be prepared to do some tasks other than child care if the customers require (e.g cooking or going to the shop).
- If a problem occurs I will contact the parents/carers as soon as possible and then contact Bali Krisna Service.
- I agree to keep all the customers personal information private and not share it with others.
- If something is broken or damaged while I am babysitting, I will notify the parents upon arrival.
- If I break something by accident I will not be responsible to cover the cost of the damage.
- If something is damaged due to deliberate intention or I steal something I will be fully responsible to cover these costs (if this should happen I will never be given another job through Bali Krisna Service)
